DJI has announced a major expansion to its drone fleet management ecosystem with the release of the FlightHub 2 All-In-One (AIO) Server and an On-Premises software update. This strategic move addresses the growing demand from enterprise and government sectors for strict data sovereignty, offline capabilities, and rapid field deployment.
While FlightHub 2 has already logged over 2 million missions and 400,000 hours of operations across 85 countries, the new signals a pivot from a purely cloud-based model (SaaS) to a flexible, decentralized infrastructure.
For years, DJI’s FlightHub 2 operated primarily on AWS servers located in the United States. While efficient, this posed challenges for international organizations with strict data residency requirements.
During the launch webinar, DJI highlighted the specific "pain points" that drove this development:
"Some corporations may want to have the data stored locally... It's a centralized asset they can control, rather than relying on a cloud service. To solve these pain points, we have released DJI FlightHub 2 On-Premises... it allows you to ensure the data coming in from the drone is stored locally under the server you set up."

This "On-Premises" version allows for an "Airplane Mode" style of operation, where no data enters or leaves the local network, making it ideal for sensitive infrastructure projects, public safety agencies, and energy clients who cannot risk data exposure via the public internet.
The standout hardware reveal is the FlightHub 2 AIO Server. Unlike the standard On-Premises software, which requires users to configure their own Linux (Ubuntu) servers and execute complex command-line code, the AIO is a pre-configured, ruggedized hardware unit.
Key Technical Specifications of the AIO:
The integration of powerful local hardware means data processing no longer relies on internet connection speeds. The AIO server can utilize DJI Terra’s privatization engine to generate 2D maps and 3D models directly in the field.
According to the launch presentation, the system is capable of impressive speed:
"In emergency missions, the DJI FlightHub 2 AIO can quickly transform 500 drone-captured images into a 3D model in just five minutes."
DJI is also opening the door for deeper customization. The platform now supports Large Language Models (LLMs) for media searching and AI-driven object recognition.
Through the new Open API and FlightSync tools, developers can bridge DJI’s hardware with third-party systems. This enables complex workflows, such as live-streaming thermal footage from a drone directly to a private security center using RTMP/RTSP protocols, or automating data transfers to local storage buckets (S3) without ever relying on a public cloud.
The FlightHub 2 On-Premises software is available now for deployment on private clouds or physical servers. The All-In-One (AIO) server, designed for maximum mobility and ease of use, is rolling out through global enterprise dealers immediately.
